Like many Austrian resorts, Saalbach-Hinterglemm’s slopes are not high. What is surprising, however, is just how many of them face south.

 

Comprehensive snow-making ensures that cover is quite reliable in the early and middle part of winter, but problems can start at the first sign of spring.

 

That said, there are some shadier north-facing slopes - those above Leogang often holding their snow the best.
