Snowfall is erratic in Cortina – it can be excellent when other parts of the Alps are suffering and vice versa. Snow-making is comprehensive, however, covering 95% of the slopes, so reasonable cover is virtually assured even in times of drought.
The slopes reach nearly 3000m but vary in aspect, so snow quality is variable, especially later in the season.
