Snowfall is erratic in Selva di Val Gardena, but snow-making is as good as it gets in the Alps, and the pistes are often in great shape even if there isn’t much natural snow around.
With most of its skiing below 2200m, however, slush can be difficult to avoid later in the season.
Where to ski in bad weather:
If the weather turns, the runs between Ciampinoi and St Cristina offer the most shelter locally.
