Pila has a different weather pattern to its better known Aosta neighbours such as Courmayeur and Cervinia, and relies entirely on Mediterranean storms for any serious snowfall.

 

However, with its respectable average skiing height, snow cover is reliable. Most of its slopes also face north, so snow quality is often quite good, especially higher up.
