Like most resorts in the Bregenzerwald region, Damüls gets a prodigious amount of snow and claims to be the snowiest village in the world.

Whether or not it matches nearby Warth-Schröcken is the subject of some conjecture (readings for the latter are taken slightly above resort level) but for practical purposes it makes little difference - this region is the snowiest in the Alps.

Like its neighbours, however, its slopes are not high and are vulnerable to mild Atlantic winds. So, whilst good snow cover is virtually assured, snow quality is subject to some variability.
