Whistler’s coastal location means it experiences fewer temperature extremes than further inland, for example in Banff/Lake Louise, or indeed in the Colorado resorts. Rain can be a nuisance at lower elevations though, and the weather (generally) is highly changeable.

 

That said, Whistler does have one of the greatest vertical ranges of any North American resort and conditions at altitude are often excellent.

 

Powder days are also plentiful and overall, snow reliability can be considered very good.
