Big White has a big reputation for powder, which is largely justified. It is also the highest ski area in the interior of British Columbia and so snow preservation is good despite its largely south facing slopes.

 

The top bowls can close in the frequent white-outs, but most of the area is well protected by forest glades and stays open during storms.
