Snowfall can be erratic in the Monterosa Ski region, but there is lots of high altitude skiing and comprehensive snow-making.

 

Conditions on the upper slopes are therefore often quite good. However, lower slopes can be more variable.

Where to ski in bad weather:

Open slopes dominate in Monterosa Ski, but there are some more wooded areas lower down, the best of which are above Champoluc and Gressoney.
